I just learned of your passing today. How greatly grieved I am for you and Patty. My WCB memories of you both are really special. You were such a great role model for me as a young man. Thank you for your gift of life and ministry to me and so many others. Go in peace my friend.

I only learned today of your death. Your passing brought your Blogs to me. What thoughtful and genuine words and thoughts!.. Your Dad had a very great impact on my journey, including my decision to be a Pastor. What a gift all the way around!

Andrew,

I know that you are crossing over the Boundary Waters today in God’s hands. I received the news of your passing from a co-worker with your cousin Dan.

How, I wish we had been able to meet. I am so glad I was able to share my wedding video with you and that you signed my book “Crossing Boundry Waters”. Your story along with “Smithson’s Island” by Judith Smithson had such an impact on my life at a time when it needed a push. My 50 mile hike on the Superior Ttrail 12 years ago was my time “to die”, to let go and “to live”.

Oh, how I wish we had met.

Your words are with me.

In Peace.

Of all the paths you walk in life make sure a few of them are dirt…..

Hello Andrew,

I too am new to this media, but the reason I am writing is to let you know that I have enjoyed reading your devotions in “The Word In Season/Christ in our Home” they have been speaking to me in ways that I couldn’t explain.
